Rebecca’s first introduction to yoga was in college and community classes offered on campus.   After college, she practiced sporadically with DVDs.  Later, when recovering from a car accident, Rebecca found a class designed for people with injuries at the local yoga studio in her town.  It was like coming home.  As much as her body needed to mend, her spirit needed it more.

With a desire to share what yoga has given her, Rebecca enrolled in a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program at Karma Yoga, in Lithia, Florida. She believes that a slow, mindful practice helps one develop strength and stability in the body, mind, and spirit.

Much of Rebecca's teaching is centered around helping people to find their yoga.  She likes to teach using lots of props and adapting as needed to ensure that her students are both empowered and comfortable in their practice, as well as being challenged.

To enrich her personal yoga practice, as well as offer enhancements to her students Rebecca also studies the subtle body, infusing additional techniques such as acupressure, and Energy Medicine to help energize students, or bring additional relief as needed. Rebecca is also a student of Vedic Thai Yoga Bodywork with the Vedic Conservatory and offers this beautiful modality to private clients.

In addition to her Yoga practice, Rebecca is an active member of the local community garden, and enjoys creating interesting new recipes in the kitchen, and watercolor painting.  Rebecca lives in Plant City, Florida with her husband, daughter, and two fur-babies.
